This means with every new version, CheckIn will make you even more productive and more money. Nothing beats a system made just for you and nobody else. Using LightSpeed, RepairShopr or an old home brew database that does not tie into GSX fully will cost you lots of lost time and revenue. Maintaining a high level or productivity is essential for any size business especially so for smaller ones like ours. The goal was to produce something that’s exclusively built for Apple service providers and to continually improve upon it by actively taking feedback from the AASP community in order to make it even better with every version! We adopted what we liked most from LightSpeed and made other things better but most importantly improved upon the SRO module with double the features. In order to properly grow our business and stop wasting time doing double data entry etc., we decided to take a tried and true POS system that was in use for over 13 years and morph it into a replacement for LightSpeed. To build a modern system based on the popular FileMaker platform and offer it to other AASPs as well. We decided to take the more challenging path and the one that would allow us to grow along with it. Either continuing on the same path and use a system that no longer had GSX integration and live with the time suck of extra data entry work between GSX and LightSpeed or purchase the only alternative which was not only very expensive and difficult to use but upgrading every few years is pretty darn costly and not to mention extra features costing even more.

But that was up until the end of 2019 when they decided to no longer support GSX integration. Many of us have been using LightSpeed Onsite for a long time and it did a pretty decent job helping us with point of sale and computer service management via their SRO system. As fellow AASPs, we understand firsthand how frustrating it is to not have a service system that ties into Apple’s GSX.
