Instead of playlists that are randomized, or made by Pandora officials, 8Tracks playlists are made by ordinary people. Both are online radios, but 8Track’s concept is very different. You get more if you pay.ĨTracks is unlike Pandora in several ways.

This is again, if you use the free Pandora. However, you only get twelve skips on all stations in one day. In a playlist you can only skip through songs six times per hour. So to save this from happening, Pandora created skip limits.
Pandora pays for all of the music it is sharing with you every time you play a song, Pandora is losing money.
After a while, you start hearing the same songs over and over. I also realized that Pandora’s playlists do have an end. So if you’re a heavy Pandora user, this can really stink.

This is only if you are using Pandora for free if you pay to use Pandora, this will not happen. Pandora only lets you listen for a certain amount of time each month (40 hours). Be prepared however, for your music to magically stop. If you want to listen to Pandora for a long period of time, go right ahead. You could be listening to great songs and all the sudden you hear, “Come to Giant Eagle and get your Fuel Perks!” They also tend to play the same commercials over and over. Pandora has ads, which are very annoying. Pandora is pretty cool, there are of course a few cons that it has as well. They are the equivalent of what you would be hearing if you were buying a song on ITunes or a CD. Pandora consistently plays high quality songs. Whether it is hip hop, rock, or country, Pandora has got it. If you don’t want to narrow it down as much as to an artist, you can also put in a genre of music. Simply type in one of your favorite bands and Pandora will open you up to a whole world of tunes that are similar to that particular bands artistry. It’s very easy to find new songs that you like if you’re in the mood to mix it up. It brings you music from similar artists and genres you like listening to. Here’s the real question though, which online radio do I think is better? Well my friends, let’s break it down. It’s really awesome to have something fresh and new to try out. And I am not going to lie 8Tracks has become my new obsession. So this is what I looked like about a week ago. I decide to switch it up and check it out.
